Gaming News - 28/4/11

Hello everybody and welcome to the Gaming News for today, Thursday 28th April 2011.

Making the gaming headlines today, the biggest headline is news from Sony. After the events of the past week Nick Caplin, head of communications for SCEE has posted an FAQ of the questions that seemingly everyone has wanted answered.

Caplin answered numerous questions on topics incuding whether Sony are working with law enforcement to investigate the person or group behind the outage, which they are. Another question asked if they have identified the party or parties behind the personal information theft, which they haven't but are investigating.

As well as various other things asked and answered Caplin briefly described that all PSN users will be asked to change their password upon the service being reactivated and that Sony hope for the PlayStation Network or its related services to be at least partially online within a week. The second article is that today EA have confirmed to IGN that they will be releasing a new entry for Need for Speed series later this year. Need for Speed: The Run is expected to be released on 18th November, following on from the last entry in the series earlier this month in the form of Shift 2 Unleashed: Need for Speed. Although, The Run is set to not follow the Shift section of the series and is likely to follow on from Undercover as this latest title will be developed by EA Blackbox. You can view the article on he IGN website via this link.

Another item making the news today is that Valve's vice precident for marketing, Doug Lombardi has been noted to have said that the developer is set to give details on the first DLC for Portal 2 in a week. Even greater is that the downloadable content should be available this summer. You read about this in more detail in the IGN article here.

So, that is the biggest headlines for today.I appologise for the this post being short as well as there being no post on Monday or Tuesday. I would also like to say that there will obviously be no Home Weekly post this week, but I hope to instead upload something else. I have indeed been randomthings, you've been reading this and until next time, have fun.
